Purchase Info

All prices are in USD.  All prices are for the painting only -- no frame, no mat -- unless otherwise noted on the individual listing.  When you inquire about purchasing an original painting please include your zip code (within the US) or your country (outside the US), so I may include an estimate of the shipping and insurance (where available) cost.  Usually I send packages through the US Postal Service.

The first person to contact me about a painting gets first dibs. When you contact me I will email you back with the total price (painting price and postage cost) for your ok before emailing you a PayPal invoice.  However, if you contact me about buying an original painting and I email you back with the information and I don't hear back from you within 10 days, I will assume you are no longer interested in buying the painting.

Prints will be shipped rolled in a tube.  Original paintings will generally be shipped flat in a box although to some countries the larger paintings may be shipped rolled in a tube as the cost of shipping flat is prohibitive.

Extended Payment Plan (Layaway/Lay-by)

We are also now offering an extended payment (ie., layaway/lay-by) plan to buyers. Buyers will be able to spread payments over a three month period (one payment per month) for any original painting (commissions also), and may be able to arrange to extend payments an extra month or two for the largest size paintings or multiple purchases.

Commissions

Steve is now accepting commissions to paint custom pieces.  He does commissions in two sizes -- 12"x16" and 18"x24".  The prices are $400 USD and $875 USD respectively for a portrait of one person.  Prices for portraits with additional people are generally higher.  Please contact me at  for more info on the additional cost.  Postage and insurance (insurance isn't available to all countries) are added to the base price.

What he requires for portraits is a good photo (perhaps even two or three so he can choose which works best) and make sure to include eye colour (sometimes it's very hard to tell from a photo).  The photo should be a snapshot rather than a professionally taken photo as those are copyrighted.

For commissions other than standard portraits, email me a description of what you are interested in and I will forward it to Steve to see if it's something do-able.  The prices for this type of commission are generally the same as for the portraits, but may be somewhat higer if the piece is very complex.

We require a deposit of approx. half of the cost when the order is placed (unless you want the extended payment plan, then the payments will be in thirds or as arranged) and the remaining amount + postage and insurance when the painting is finished and ready to be mailed.  When you decide to place an order email me and I will send you a PayPal invoice for the first payment.
